Proportional Valve (PV)

Mixing proportional valve is for mixing virgin resin with regrinded resin. This unit can worked with any auto loader and easy to clean. 

FEATURES

  • The unit is used for mixing virgin resin with another virgin resin or regrinded resin in proportion via the auto loaders. This unit can be worked with any auto loaders, and help you to save labor cost and raw material cost. Easy to clean and install.

  • The unique air valve structure design stops dust from entering the cylinder of the unit and thus reduces waste.

  • Can mix or feed one kind of resin only if required.

  • The controller is fitted with digital readout (PV-A-D Series) and setting for the mixing cycles which gives a high rate of accuracy. It is easy to set and be set in the range of 0-9.9 seconds.

  • Transparent cleaning cover design for quick cleaning and easy changing materials.

  • Individual controller for convenient operation.

​How to choose the models

  1. The PV-A2 series (2" piping) are suitable for long pieces of regrind material or loaders over 2 hp (2 hp included). Others are suitable for PV-A1 series (1½” piping).

  2. Please choose the most suitable models according to your working space and the types of auto loaders.

FAQ

  • Reason:

    1. Worn blades.

    2. Excessive blade clearance.

    3. Incorrect blade rotation direction.

    4. Excessive rotation speed.

    5. Change in material properties.

    Ans.:

    1. Resharpen the blades.

    2. Adjust blade gap to an appropriate distance.

    3. Correct the rotation direction.

    4. Replace the pulley to reduce rotation speed.

    5. Adjust granulating parameters according to different materials.

  • Reason:

    1. High feed material temperature.

    2. Overfilled storage bin causing discharge blockage.

    3. Damaged bearings.

    Ans.:

    1. Allow material to cool down before feeding.

    2. Clear the accumulated material from the storage bin.

    3. Replace the bearings.

  • Reason:

    1. Worn screen mesh.

    2. Loose screen frame.

    3. Screen mesh size too large.

    1. Replace the screen.

    2. Tighten the screen frame.

    3. Replace with a smaller screen mesh.

  • Reason:

    1. Variations in material specific gravity.

    2. Worn blades.

    3. Screen mesh size too small.

    4. Inappropriate machine model selection.

    2. Resharpen the blades.

    3. Replace with a suitable screen mesh.

    4. Switch to a suitable machine model.

  • Reason:

    1. Worn blades.

    2. Friction between rotating and stationary blades.

    3. Loose blades.

    4. Foreign objects fallen into the granulating chamber.

    5. Insufficient voltage or phase loss.

    6. Damaged bearings.

    1. Resharpen the blades.

    2. Adjust blade gap to an appropriate distance.

    3. Tighten the blades.

    4. Remove foreign objects and clear contaminated Regrind.

    5. Check power supply.

    6. Replace the bearings.

  • Reason:

    1. Oversized feed material.

    2. Loose machine components.

    3. Uneven ground surface, wheels not fully grounded.

    Ans.:

    1. Select appropriate feed material size.

    2. Inspect and locate the source of the noise/vibration.

    3. Ensure all four casters/wheels are evenly contacting the ground.

  • Reason:

    1. Power supply interruption.

    2. Overloading due to improper operation, triggering overload protection.

    3. Hopper not properly locked/latched.

    4. Damaged magnetic contactor.

    Ans.:

    1. Check power supply.

    2. Clear the granulating chamber, reset the protection trip, and restart.

    3. Check safety interlock switch engagement.

    4. Replace the magnetic contactor.
